Pyrography Gallery
Pyrography is drawing on a suitable wood (usually) surface with a pyrography machine. The machine consists of an electronically heated, high-resistance wire nib, in a pyrograhy pen. Alternatively the pyrography machine is soldering iron like, with a solid point. The heated wire scorches marks ranging from lines to delicate tonal shades on the wood surface. The beautiful range of brown tones produced, sadly, do not last. Bolder incised, blacker lines, produced with higher pressure and heat, which could then more properly refered to as, pyro-engraving, are more durable, and are usefulf for decorative effects in wood-art works.
