30 Day Bible-Lettering Gallery

From time to time I have participated in various 30 Day Bible-Lettering Challenge events on the web.

The challenge is to do one piece of lettering per day for the nominated month using the given 'prompt' verses. This can provide some useful thumb-nail roughs and ideas for some more finished work later. While an entire passage from the Bible is a good subject for calligraphy work, short phrases and sentences, from a verse or two, often lack enough context for good biblical meaning to be conveyed. Consequently I haven't produced much, as hand- lettering itself is best suited to short phrases and sentences.
